Dime in the JQBX 6/5

Thanks for joining us and JQBXing some tunes during these trying times. Merry-Go-Round Magazine has donated its June Patreon funds towards ActBlue, an organization that disperses donations among a larger number of charities and funds who could use it right now. We wanted to focus today’s Dime in the JQBX towards a few specific places, so please give if you’re able.

LA Bail Fund

New York Bail Fund (Venmo)

Breonna Taylor’s GoFund Me

Here is a list of various petitions you can sign right now. Should you not have the funds to be able to make a financial impact right now, you can still make your voice heard and we encourage you to do so.

Today is also Bandcamp Day, meaning Bandcamp is waiving any cut they would traditionally take from those who use the platform. An overwhelming number of artists and labels are donating whatever profits they see today to justice-driven charities, so we encourage you to also go grab an album or two there. You can see a partial list of participants here, and you can see a list of all of our own Bandcamp Picks from the last several years here

CJ Simonson
CJ Simonson is Merry-Go-Round's Editor-in-Chief and representative for all things Arizona. The only thing he knows for certain is that "I Can Feel The Fire" by Ronnie Wood is the greatest closing credits song never used in a Wes Anderson movie. Get on that, Wes.
