Hello! Are you doing well? Are you drinking enough water? It’s us, Merry-Go-Round Magazine, here to hope you’re doing okay and let you know about our upcoming ninth anniversary!

On August 22nd we’ll be throwing another show! That’s right, now that we’re entering year nine of exquisitely curated and extremely well thought-out culture writing, we figured it was time for another show with our favorite venue in LA, Permanent Records Roadhouse. Check out our lovely accidental ‘70s horror poster here:

Our lineup, as it always does, reflects the many sounds we cover on the site, but this lineup is especially unique as our two opening acts will not only be making their live debuts during our showcase, but also feature longtime MGRM writers who have been with us for most of this nine-year journey, including Conelicker, a power pop project featuring our own Adam Cash, and Gray Dens, an indie rock project featuring one Jake Mazon. Beyond that, we’re thrilled that Famous Friend will be headlining this show, their EP TANLINES has struck a viral chord on streaming and we’re excited to be the first place where these songs will be heard live! More on all of those acts soon!

The event is $10 in advance, with doors at 9:00 p.m.. You can grab tickets right now here! We’re excited to see you in August, and you can expect to read more about these bands right here with MGRM!
